Cartagena

Explore this city, said to be the oldest city in Spain with a wealth of history and beautiful architecture.  A visit to the Roman theatre is a must, it lay hidden right in the centre of the city until 1988,  during Roman times this amazing structure would seat 6,000 spectators for gladiatorial combats.

Until September there is an exhibition entitled "WWll spies & secrets" at the museum of Refugio de la Guerras Civil, with over 300 items from private collectors from resistance movements, spying operations, intelligence and code breaking equipment.  Entrance fee to the exhibition is just 4 euros (not included in the trip price)
